Moscow JAZZ OPEN: from BALTIC to ADRIATIC
Improvisation art urged to be the brightest way of expression of sincerity, energy and feelings to the full extent. It is uneasy, and it demands high level of skill of the executor. Today to be the modern improvisator is, most likely, to be laconic, irrespective of style. While the tool remains in hands of the Master, the imperceptible secret code Harmony of Improvisation stores waves exhaled by it.
Jazz - the art sign of the XX-th century evolving in very short time interval to elevated style. Today, in a century the following, improvisation music is many-sided and is and orotund. On our party of Atlantic this music has clearly European face.
Six years «Planet АРТ» represents to Russia brilliant names of the European jazz. For these years in three Russian-Norwegian and three International festivals «Baltic jazz» have taken part more than 100 brightest musicians of Scandinavian jazz. This year «the Baltic jazz» passes on baton. Our festival today - «Moscow JAZZ OPEN».
We have prepared for our friends, judges of Its Majesty of Improvisation, the present surprises. At us the big new program and the new schedule, participate in our festival eight countries of Europe from which the best names of the European jazz Olympus will traditionally gather in Moscow. Visitors «Moscow JAZZ OPEN» -Terje Rypdal TRIO (Norway), Arild Andersen, Paolo Vinaccia and Tommy Smith (Arild Andersen TRIO, Norway-Italy-Scotland), Tingvall Trio (Germany-Sweden), Leszek Mozdzer (Poland) & Lars Danielsson (Sweden) DUO, Elvis Stanic Quartet (Croatia). Russia in festival represent Alexey Kravchenko and Maxim Piganov's Trombone Show with special guest Alexey Kolosov, art director of "Moscow JAZZ OPEN".
This year 30 years legendary «Capella Dixie» are executed, the well-known Russian clarinetist and the saxophonist the Lev Lebedev - accepts congratulations from special guest - Igor Brill. The first LP of "Capella Dixie» is presented in a New Orleans Jazz Museum.
One of the main surprises Moscow JAZZ OPEN - performance of two children's collectives - Jazz Next and «Class Centre Band» by Moscow Musical-Scenic Art School "Klass-Centre" of Sergey Kazarnovsky with the Russian jazz stars: Alexey Kuznetsov and Sergey Chipenko.
